Privacy Policy
Draft date: 21 October 2026
Draft, pending review by qualified counsel. It describes livingprooflabs.com as the site is operated on this date. It is not a completed legal review, and it does not certify compliance with any privacy statute.
1. Who this covers
Living Proof Labs, LLC (“we”) is based in Sausalito, California. This notice explains how personal information is handled when you visit livingprooflabs.com or www.livingprooflabs.com, or when you email the company at the addresses below.
It does not cover hub.livingprooflabs.com, which is a separate site.
2. Information involved
Email you send us
The site has no form and no account. If you email [email protected] or [email protected], we receive the address you send from and whatever you put in the message.
Connection data from hosting
The site is static files on GitHub Pages. GitHub and its delivery network receive the IP address, browser type, and URL needed to return the page and to protect the service. We do not add an analytics or advertising tool.
Fonts
Your browser loads typefaces from Google (fonts.googleapis.com and
fonts.gstatic.com). Google receives your IP address and the usual
data in that request, which can include the address of the page you are on.
Cloudflare and email
Cloudflare sits in front of the site. A visit reaches Cloudflare first. Cloudflare presents the certificate, then requests the page from GitHub Pages. Cloudflare receives the IP address, browser type, and URL. Mail to the domain is separate: Cloudflare Email Routing receives the message and forwards it to the company’s mailbox.
What we do not do
The pages we publish do not set cookies and do not store information in your browser. A small script writes the current year into the footer. It does not identify you.
3. How we use it
- To reply to you and keep a record of the conversation
- To discuss a possible partnership or other work
- To serve and protect the site
- To meet a legal duty, if one applies
We do not sell personal information.
4. Legal basis
Sending us an email is not, by itself, a settled statement of consent. Which basis applies — a step you asked for, a legitimate interest in answering, a contract, or a legal duty — is an open question for counsel. See the list at the end of this page.
5. Retention
We keep a correspondence while the conversation is active, and afterward for as long as we need it for that relationship or for a legal duty. A fixed retention period has not been adopted. You can ask us to delete a message by writing to [email protected].
6. Who else processes it
- GitHub Pages, to host and deliver the site
- Google, when your browser requests the fonts
- Cloudflare, to deliver the site and to receive and forward email
- A recipient we are legally required to notify, if that duty applies
Those providers may process the data in the United States and in other countries. This draft does not claim that a particular transfer safeguard is in place.
7. Security
We use ordinary care to protect messages and the site. No internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot promise that it is.
8. Children
The site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The age threshold that applies is one of the open points below.
9. Rights that may apply
Depending on where you live, you may have a right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to certain uses. Write to [email protected] and we will apply the rights that actually apply. This draft does not decide which statute grants them.
10. Changes
If this notice changes, we will update the draft date. A later version replaces this one only when it is published at this URL.

12. Open points for counsel
- Which privacy statutes apply, including any GDPR or Swiss FADP duties.
- The legal basis for reading and keeping email. An earlier draft treated the act of emailing as consent. This draft does not.
- A fixed retention period. An earlier draft said two years. That period was not confirmed, so it is not promised here.
- The age threshold for the children’s section.
- Whether [email protected] should stay the published legal address. Mail to the domain is forwarded by a catch-all rule. A test message to that address was not sent.
- The transfer terms that should be named for GitHub, Google, and Cloudflare.
